I might infuriate a massive number of Apple fans. But it’s the reality. I made the switch to Android, sacrificing my iPhone 6S. But why did I do that? Why didn’t I go for the new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus? In this article, you will find why I switched to Android and why you should too.

Why Switch to Android - Better Camera Performance

Why Switch to Android: Better Camera Performance

Don’t get me wrong. I really like the way my iPhone 6S captured sharp photos and I am a big fan of the cameras on the current generation iPhones. But here is the truth: under most conditions, the Android phone cameras outperform the iPhone shooters. This alone pushed me towards making the switch to Android. Yes, with the new technology and wider aperture lens, the latest iPhones perform brilliantly in the low light condition. They cover more details in the particular environment. However, in all other conditions, including bright outdoor situations, the performance of the Android phone camera is unbeatable. I am really stunned by the camera performance of my new Galaxy S7 Edge. The captured images look way better in most of the environments.

Why Switch to Android - Wide Range of Phone Choices

Why Switch to Android: Wide Range of Phone Choices

If you want to buy an iPhone, you basically get two options right now – the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. But if you plan to purchase an Android, you get a wide range of options. If you have a tight budget, you can go for entry-level smartphones, like Wileyfox Swift. If you have a bigger budget, you can purchase high-end phones, like Galaxy S7 Edge. Finally, if your budget range falls between the high-end and entry-level devices, you can get Nexus 5X. Overall, you have a plenty of options, which you will never have with Apple smartphones.

Why Switch to Android - Far Better Battery Life

Why Switch to Android: Far Better Battery Life

One of the main reasons that I got rid of my iPhone was inadequate battery life. Sure, the battery performance is decent and has actually improved in the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, it is still nowhere near to the outstanding battery performance of the leading Android phones, like Galaxy S7 Edge, which can easily make a day with a heavy usage. Typically, my iPhone lost all of the juice by the evening. The same thing goes for the new iPhone 7 Plus. In GSMArena’s battery endurance rating, the 2900 mAh battery lasted 75 hours. On the other hand, the 3600 mAh battery of the Galaxy S7 Edge survived 98 hours, which is a far better performance. If you really emphasize on the battery performance, you have to switch to Android.

Why Switch to Android - More Vibrant Display

Why Switch to Android: More Vibrant Display

When I went to the store to pick up an Android phone, I was completely stunned by the incredibly vibrant and colorful displays of the Android phones, including the Galaxy S7 Edge and LG G5. Here is the reason behind it: my iPhone 6S, along with the latest iPhone models, come with 1080p resolution. But the displays of the leading Android phones feature 1440p resolution and their pixel density is way higher than the iPhone displays.

These are the reasons why I made the switch to Android and why you should too. Have you made the switch? Are you happier with your Android smartphone? Share your thoughts in the comment section below:
